WiFi Hub / SIM Rental
WiFi Hubs get cast, crew, scouts, producers, and production offices online fast.
Battery-powered portable WiFi, preconfigured and ready for cast and crew.
Keep your own phones, hotspots, routers, tablets, and specialty gear online with unlimited-data SIMs on the Rogers extended network.
On-site production internet
Canary handles setup, teardown, and on-site technician support so production internet is planned, installed, and removed without slowing the day down.
Service can come from Starlink, cellular, TELUS fiber, or bonded combinations when needed. From there, we distribute WiFi through mesh coverage, hardlined access points, or low-impact installs.
Mesh coverage
Once service is established, one network can blanket the location with high-speed WiFi.
Brothers behind the network
Built around the pressure of remote locations, changing schedules, metal trailers, forest canopies, and crews who simply need the internet to work — Canary Uplink is owned and operated by brothers Jon and Adam Piechnik.
Jon keeps the customer experience clear, straightforward, and responsive. With a background in business, marketing, and company building, he helps customers understand what they need, what will work in the field, and how to move forward with a solution that feels simple instead of overwhelming.
Adam gets the connection working before anyone has to think about it. With two decades in film and credits as a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Assistant Director, he brings technical skill and film-set experience to planning setups, solving site challenges, and keeping crews connected when it matters.
Why Canary is different
Unlimited data. No hidden overages or speed throttling.
On-site when it matters. We plan, install, troubleshoot, and tear down instead of leaving productions to figure it out.
Film-aware support. We pivot quickly when locations or requirements change, with 24/7 support for film schedules that rarely stay still.
